Quick Start Guide

Rent GPU Power on OctaSpace

Choose and rent a GPU node with Ubuntu through OctaSpace marketplace. Recommended: NVIDIA RTX 2080 or better with Ubuntu 22.04.

Access Your Rented Node

Once rented, you'll receive SSH access to the node. Connect and prepare the system.

# Connect to your rented node
ssh user@node-ip-address

# Update system and install dependencies
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y
sudo apt install wget tar -y

Install PuzzleNet Client

Download and install the appropriate PuzzleNet client for the GPU architecture.

# Download client (choose correct version)
wget https://puzbit.org/download/client/ampere_cuda

# Extract and install
tar -xf ampere_cuda
cd PuzzleNet_client

# Make executable
chmod +x client

Choose client version based on rented GPU: turing_cuda, pascal_cuda, or ampere_cuda, all_cuda

Configure and Run

Run the client and enter your participant details when prompted.

# Run the client
./client

# Follow prompts to enter:
# - Your participant name
# - Your Bitcoin address for rewards
# - Any other configuration required

The client will automatically connect and start contributing to Puzzle #71
